Recommended by Chambers & Partners UK and Legal Experts, Michael practices across the full range of commercial work dealing with all the major issues of the day in litigation and international commercial arbitration. He has particular expertise in cases involving issues in civil fraud (including asset tracing actions).

Most recently, Michael has been instructed in massive, high profile and related Chancery Division, Commercial Court and ICC proceedings arising out of the alleged endemic corruption perpetrated by the previous Government of Zambia presided over by the notorious Dr. Chiluba and others. Michael has substantial experience in the High Court both at first instance and at appellate level, through to the House of Lords. He also has extensive experience before a range of arbitral tribunals governed by a variety of rules. He has experience of the laws and legal system of Russia and Jersey.

Michael also recently acted for H.E. President Museveni, President of Uganda in a claim brought against him in a contractual dispute in the High Court. The matter concerned issues of Sovereign Immunity and proper service of proceedings.
