Practice Summary

Veena is developing a broad commercial practice following successful completion of pupillage in October 2019.  During pupillage, Veena worked on some of the leading cases of 2019 including the HP/Autonomy trial (assisting Conall Patton).  Veena has also gained experience of cases in a range of areas including civil fraud, banking and finance, energy, and jurisdiction challenges. 

Before coming to the Bar, Veena was seconded to the Dispute Resolution team at Slaughter and May where she assisted with a SIAC arbitration (Singapore seat) over an SPA dispute worth US$5.5bn, and the High Court claim brought by Diageo against Vijay Mallya & ors.  Veena was also previously a tutor at Downing College (Cambridge) in Administrative Law, and worked on a consumer law reform project at the Law Commission.
