Andrew Lenon is an experienced international commercial arbitrator, barrister and judge, recommended in Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. His practice covers the full range of company and commercial litigation, arbitration and advisory work. He has particular expertise in cases involving chancery commercial issues arising in the banking & financial services and company & insolvency sectors. He also has a substantial practice involving the insurance & reinsurance and energy industries.
Andrew has been called to the bar in the Cayman Islands, the BVI and the Turks & Caicos. Andrew also sits as a chairman of the Competition Appeals Tribunal (appointed 2012), which adjudicates on appeals by telecoms operators (amongst others) from competition regulators. He is also an SCMA accredited mediator.
Andrew speaks Spanish and French fluently and has high level working knowledge of Russian.
Andrew sits as a Deputy High Court Judge in the Chancery Division (appointed 2020) and as a Chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal ruling on private competition disputes and appeals from regulators.

- Acting as an arbitrator in an LCIA arbitration in a dispute arising out of a Russian securitisation transaction involving the issuance of notes to fund a factoring company which became insolvent.
- Acting as sole arbitrator in an LCIA arbitration in a dispute arising out of a contract for purchase for goods and engineering.
- Acting as sole arbitrator in an LCIA arbitration in a dispute arising out of two energy contracts in English and Russian.
- Acting as sole arbitrator in an LCIA arbitration in a dispute arising out of works and services in relation to a waste heat recovery system driven power generation plant.
- Acting as a sole arbitrator in a LCIA arbitration arising out of the expulsion of a partner from a Swiss financial services firm.
- Acting as a co-arbitrator in an LCIA arbitration concerning the effect of sanctions on a Russian bank.
- Acting as a co-arbitrator in a LCIA arbitration involving a claim to enforce a commodities transaction with a Russian bank and a counterclaim to set aside the transaction on the ground of fraud.
