Constantine acts across the full range of commercial disputes. His recent instructions include a high-profile trial under s.423 Insolvency Act 1986 and a fraud claim which featured as one of The Lawyer’s top 20 cases of 2025. He also welcomes instructions as sole counsel, and has appeared unled in the Commercial Court, the Circuit Commercial Court and the Insolvency and Companies Court.

Before coming to the Bar, Constantine covered European economic policy and political economy for a leading financial markets forecasting company.

Notable recent cases include:

  • Acting (with Steven Elliott KC and Ben Zelenka Martin) for the North East Scotland Pension Fund (NESPF) in its high-value dispute with Hermes Infrastructure II GP LLP and Hermes GPE LLP concerning the acquisition of a stake in a Swedish onshore wind portfolio by Hermes Infrastructure Fund II LP. NESPF alleges that the Defendants breached contractual and tortious duties as GP and Manager of the fund.
  • Invest Bank v El-Husseini [2024] EWHC 2976 (Comm): acted (with Niranjan Venkatesan) for the successful defendants in this hard-fought Commercial Court claim brought under s.423 Insolvency Act 1986. Constantine appeared at the 4-week trial in July 2024 and at numerous interlocutories, including in relation to freezing undertakings ([2023] EWHC 3350 (Comm)), disclosure ([2024] EWHC 996 (Comm)), amendments and limitation ([2024] EWHC 1235 (Comm)), and challenges to the authenticity of evidence ([2024] EWHC 1804 (Comm)).
  • Jinxin v Aser: acting (with Simon Colton KC and Daniel Benedyk) for the defendants in a Commercial Court claim for deceit and conspiracy worth over $600 million, arising from alleged bribery, corruption and anti-competitive practices in the acquisition of Italian Serie A and FIFA World Cup media rights. The claim was featured as one of the Lawyer’s Top 20 cases for 2025.
  • Havant Biogas v Ofgem: acted (with Thomas Sharpe KC) for the claimants in TCC proceedings for damages for breach of Article 1 Protocol 1 ECHR, following the defendant’s unlawful withholding of biomethane subsidies.
