Anna Boase QC appeared in the Netherlands Commercial Court on 21 January 2020 in the first merits hearing of this new institution, based in Amsterdam in which proceedings are conducted in English. In a dispute involving the construction of a gas pipeline through the Black Sea and giving rise to issues of English law, Anna was instructed by Linklaters LLP on behalf of South Stream Transport BV. This is the first case to reach substantive determination by the Netherlands Commercial Court, which was launched in 2019.
