Sonia Tolaney KC has been named Barrister of the Year at the prestigious Legal Business Awards 2026.
Sonia's recognition follows a year in which she has led large teams in a number of high-profile litigation mandates, including for Mastercard; for Uber; for the BBC, and for Rolls Royce.
The award caps a remarkable showing for One Essex Court in the category: three of the shortlisted barristers came from chambers, with Laurence Rabinowitz KC and Alain Choo Choy KC also shortlisted. One Essex Court was also shortlisted for Chambers of the Year.
