One Essex Court will host a Women at the Commercial Bar mooting competition in London on Thursday 4 December 2025. The final round will be judged by Lady Justice Cockerill DBE, and there are substantial prizes to be won.
Participating teams will all have at least two chances to moot, and will be hosted in and around Chambers for a full day of activities. The day is intended to provide all participants with both enjoyable mooting opportunities and an insight into life as a woman at the commercial bar.
Further information about the day and how to enter can be found here. For your best chance of entry, please register your team’s interest by 8 October 2025.
Pupillage Interview Workshop

This workshop will involve:

• A live, practical exercise in small groups, with the opportunity for individual feedback

We particularly welcome applications from those under-represented at the Commercial Bar, including people of minority ethnic origin, people with disabilities, LGBT+ people, and people who attended state schools or are first-generation university students.
