One Essex Court is delighted that 6 members of chambers are instructed in cases which feature in The Lawyer’s recently published Top 20 Cases of 2018.
In March, Sandy Phipps will form part of the counsel team representing Bernie Ecclestone in Bluewaters Communication v Bayerische Landesbank, Bernie Ecclestone and Bambino Holdings.
Later in the year, Alain Choo Choy QC will appear against James MacDonald in Robert Tchenguiz v Grant Thornton UK LLP & Ors, when this 12-week trial reaches the Business and Property Courts in October. Alain Choo Choy QC is instructed for the claimant, whilst James MacDonald will be one of the counsel representing the defendants.
In addition, Anthony de Garr Robinson QC, David Cavender QC and Owain Draper will represent Post Office Ltd in Bates & Ors v Post Office Ltd, a four-week trial in the Chancery Division which is due to commence in November.
